Dotterel Protection Program
NZ Dotterel breeding season runs from Sept - March and Karen Opie from Port Waikato Beachcare needs volunteers. Predator Control and Monitoring of Breeding sites are two main areas of concern.

Exciting Job Opportunity
The Waikato Environment Centre is looking for a part time administration/reception person.
The person we are looking for needs to have excellent communication and written skills, be positive and friendly with an interest in environmental issues, and sustainable living, and a sound background in office administration.
Much of the job entails face to face interaction with the public and our members, but there are also opportunities to work independently and undertake or help with projects and events.
Working 25 hours per week, you will be responsible for being at the centre during opening hours, looking after those who use the centre, selling products, producing online newsletters and helping environmental groups publicise events, answering queries, and, in conjunction with the Centre Manager, help with funding and financial recording.
