Hamilton City Council is developing a strategic plan for the 16km stretch of the Waikato River within Hamilton City's boundaries. This important document will form the guiding document for Hamilton's engagement with the Waikato River and planning for development for the next 30 years.
To achieve this, Council is proposing the establishment of a Waikato River Leadership Group to lead its development. This group will consist of passionate people covering a broad range of special interest areas and expertise, as well as representatives from Council.
