Waikato Environment Centre

pleased to announce our May workshop

MAKE Household Cleaning Workshop, Thursday May 21st, 7pm, at the Waikato Environment Centre.

For only $15/person you can learn how to MAKE your own more natural Household Cleaning products in a one hour demonstration, and you will get the recipes to take home.

The MAKE products are inexpensive, quick and very easy to make. These more natural products are better for your home, family, budget and the environment too. MAKE products contain NO Parabens, No Sodium Lauryl Sulfates (SLS), NO Triclsoan, NO undesirable preservatives or additives!!! Which is all great news for us and the environment!!! RIVERLEA ENVIRONMENT SOCIETY WORK DAY

There have been just enough RSVPs for tomorrow for it to go ahead.
So, for those who may be able to pop down, please meet at the Balfour Cresc end of the boardwalk at 1 pm. Bring the sturdiest gloves you can, plus loppers if you have some. Sorry I haven't been able to source gloves to lend out.
The main job will be to drag/carry chopped-off branches along the boardwalk to put in the back of a ute parked at the grassy area at the end of the boardwalk. It's not far down the boardwalk, and the branches are quite small, so there will be a role for people who can't carry heavy things. Also we will be putting roundup gel on the cut stumps.
The main risky thing is the thorny branches. It will mean being careful how you hold them to avoid thorns.
It will be great to have this job done - we have been planning it for what feels like years! In fact it is years!
Many thanks

Andrea
